ALBANY, NY. — This evening’s game was the final one of the Buffalo Bandits’ regular season, and they finished it off with a road victory over the Albany Firewolves, 16-10. The win ensures that Buffalo will have the best possible seed in the NLL playoffs the following week.
The early lead that Buffalo had begun to lose ground on throughout the second quarter. However, around the middle of the game, Chase Fraser, Josh Byrne, and Chris Cloutier, the leading scorer for the Bandits, all scored to put Buffalo in the lead 9-6 going into the half.
They never looked back from then, as evidenced by the fact that they outscored the Firewolves seven to four in the second half en route to a significant victory at the end of the regular season.
In the next round of the NLL playoffs, Buffalo will face off against Rochester, one of their fiercest rivals. This match is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 6 at 7:00 p.m. eastern standard time at Banditland (KeyBank Center).
