Hinterland Music Festival features Glass Animals, Goth Babe on day 2

Almost 10,000 people flocked to St. Charles on Friday for day two of this year’s Hinterland Music Festival filled with musicians such as indie rock band Glass Animals, Goth Babe and Turnstile, who filled in after Rainbow Kitten Surprise canceled in early August.

The four-day music festival kicked off on Thursday with a few hiccups as temperatures reached 93 degrees. Lines for water bottle refills had 30-minute wait times at one point that later reduced to about 30 seconds. Earlier this year, organizers announced plans to add more food vendors, parking spaces and bathrooms to accommodate 12,000 to 15,000 festival goers.
